I like it but how do they define a Wounded Warrior.
Maybe it should say Purple heart or something.....

I really like this and as a parent of a soldier, think we should have these everywhere. But, I too am concerned on how it would be managed, like the handicapped signs now, some people just ignore the obvious.

Interestingly, I was just thinking of Walmart Parking last night, wondering what's happening over there. Glad to see them actively working to improve their parking. parking adelaide airport

We start making noise now so they consider it at the Grand Aerie convention in a few weeks. Talk to anyone you have going as a delegate, i'll do the same. If enough of us do it maybe it will spread throughout the Order.

Personally, I believe some soilders may get offended....It appears that handicap signs are good for ones of need....Woundn"t wounded soilders apply to the same benefits as handicap....I"m not saying they don"t deserve the rights.....I"m just saying that some soilders would rather be unnoticed due to terroist that plot on killing our American Soilders....Hope this helps out...I would vote to protect the soilders from terroist that would target our men an women of our American Soilders...They already served our nation...Why put them in a situation to be targeted at home...OUR AMERICA...GOD BLESS OUR SOILDERS AND OUR AMERICA...PROTECT THE ONES THAT HAS PROTECTED US...."SOILDER STRONG".....God Bless...

In the event of this wonderful thought...Apparently u have forgotten that our soldiers are home....To have a sign to serve the spot for our wounded warriors..Could possibly put them in harms way....They have already served and protected our nation...Why make it known that they are wounded...Terroist are everywhere...Can u imagine a wounded warrior stepping into his car in a walmart parking lot blowing up due to this sign...Posting they are American Soldiers.....It"s time to wake up Walmart...I"m sure ur wasting money by doing this...They can benefit thru handicapp parking...Stop the posting and protect the ones that have protected us... God Bless..

This is the best most considerate thing I have seen in a while. As a medical retired soldier myself, I am very thankful for seeing this and did not even consider this as a "terrorist ploy" at all. I think it puts soldiers in no more danger here than being seen in ur uniform in town or a picture of urself in uniform/comments being on ur FB page where people can find out ur a soldier. As for worrying about being able to verify if the person parking there was a wounded warrior or not, there is no more to worry about than having an expectant mother parking space. It's an honor system. Honor is a big thing in the military. Most of the soldiers probably wouldn't park there anyway unless they absolutely need to. And being a wounded warrior doesn't always guarantee you have a Purple heart.

If they are seriously wounded, they should get handicapped permits like everyone else. There are all ready too many handicapped spots as it is.

I am not only a veteran, but a disabled veteran. I was injured due to a service-connected accident while I was in the US Navy over 20 years ago. I don't qualify for a disabled placard like some of the many battle injured veterans, but I am still in need of a closer parking spot at times instead of having to park way out during busy times.
Our local Wal-Mart has the "Wounded Warrior" signs up and I would have no problem using them if I was told I could. And I don't think I would ever worry about being a target for parking there anymore than when I wear my Ship Ball-cap or when I drive my car with it's "Disabled Veteran" license plates.
A clear meaning of who can and who cannot park there needs to be announced in a Public Service Announcement or a Wal-Mart ad.

Noted your blurb about Wounded warrior parking spots at Walmart.
What a sham. The fact is is that Wounded Warriors usually never get to park in those spots and if they even look at the creeps that do park in those spots they are assaulted by the creeps that park in them. Three times I a wounded Warrior who has stopped shopping at Walmart because of the three times I was confronted by the creeps who park in those spots.
The third time I was assaulted by these creeps I had a body came filming the whole incident. The creep as I walked by not even looking in that direction was assaulted by the creep who was parked in the spot. I guess because I wear my purple heart hat when I go out I was identified as a veteran and was treated to a string of expletives and was followed out of the parking lot by the creep who had been in the spot. It wasn't until I flagged down a passing police car that the vicious creep stopped following my car.
That is what Wounded Warrior parking spots do for veterans who shops at Walmart.
Don't believe me do a little real journalism and check it out for yourself.
Thanks

Oh and by the way Walmart could give a s88t less for veterans. I contacted the store manager of the Walmart in question all three times and was told by him and the rental cop that Walmart does not police their parking lot except to protect Walmart property.
